What is Therapeutic Art?
Rather than focusing on the finishing product, the focus is on the process of making art. Therapeutic art combines art and psychotherapy, it helps us be more mindful in the moment, reflect on our thoughts and feelings, and achieve better mental wellbeing.
I don’t know how to draw, is that okay?
It’s totally fine! We are here to enjoy the process. The therapeutic art facilitator will not judge you for your work. Our role is to encourage you to explore your internal state. We will guide you into looking at shapes, colors and images through your own meaning. And to help you identify ways to cope and solve your problems.
How is the process like?
The session normally has a goal and topic in mind. The facilitator will give you activities surrounding the topic, guiding you in art creation. Throughout the process, both sides can talk to each and other and ask questions. You will be taking home your art work.
Is there anything I need to prepare?
Not really, we have materials provided. Do let us know if you have a specific topic/ issue you want to discuss on so that we can prepare beforehand. What you need to prepare is an open mind to explore yourself!
Booking/ cancellation policy
A deposit of HKD 50 is needed in order to secure the booking for 1:1/ group sessions. Please let us know 24 hours in advance if you would like to reschedule. If not, the deposit will not be refunded.
